What is Commit Kingdom? Why your code becomes a kingdom

What the Tracker measures, how your code turns into energy and what that energy does in your kingdom: Commit Kingdom in five minutes.

Commit Kingdom is a game that turns developers' real coding effort into the power of a kingdom. The game does not replace coding; your code is what makes the game possible.

It starts with the Tracker

Commit Kingdom Tracker is a small extension that runs in your editor: VS Code, JetBrains IDEs and the desktop app. The Tracker sends only:

  • when you code,
  • which programming language you use,
  • how many lines changed,
  • how much was AI-assisted,
  • which editor you use.

Your code, file paths, real project names and your AI tools' local logs stay on your computer. The Tracker is open source, so you can check what it sends yourself.

No claims, just effort. You never have to say “done”: your daily coding goal moves on its own with the Tracker.

Code becomes energy, energy becomes a kingdom

Every verified, weighted coding minute produces energy, XP and gold. You decide how to spend it:

  1. Grow your tower. Build a Forge, Armory, Dormitory, Treasury and Library on your plot, floor by floor. Every room does a real job in the game.
  2. Raise your army. Train spearmen, archers, cavalry and catapults, and plan each march around counters, speed and carrying capacity.
  3. Take the map. Send your army to nearby Bug camps or to rival towers whose protection has ended. Battles are resolved fairly on the server and replayed in a short scene. Soldiers never die; they are wounded and heal in the Dormitory.

A daily promise and a chest

Every day you have a small coding goal, for example 90 minutes. When you reach it, your flame lights up and your chest arrives. Chests are earned only in the game.

Money never replaces coding

Commit Kingdom is free to play. Energy, XP, troops and verified minutes are not for sale; there are no paid chances and no ads. Kingdom Plus centres on detailed coding reports and README cards.

When?

Commit Kingdom launches on 1 January 2027 on Android, iOS and the web on the same day. Until then you can install the Tracker and see how your code turns into a report.
